# Add and manage skills in AI Agent Studio

> Open the Skills tab in AI Agent Studio, add a skill, and manage the Commerce and Engagement capabilities your AI agent uses.

Use this page to manage the **Skills** tab in **AI Agent Studio**.

If you have not finished the Identity tab yet, start with [Set up your AI agent in AI Studio](/ai-studio/how-to-setup-ai-agent-in-ai-studio).

## Prerequisites

* You already created an AI agent in **AI Studio**.
* You completed the basic identity setup for that AI agent.

## Step 1: Open the Skills tab

* Go to **AI Studio**.
* Open **AI Agent Studio**.
* Open the **Skills** tab.

## Step 2: Review the AI capabilities area

The current **Skills** tab groups capabilities into these sections:

* **Commerce**
* **Engagement**

If no skills are set up yet, the current page prompts you to complete the agent identity first.

## Step 3: Add a skill

* Click **Add skill**.
* Select the skill you want to add.

After you add a skill, it appears in the relevant section on the page.

## Step 4: Turn a skill on or off

* Use the switch on the skill card to enable or disable that skill.
* Open the skill card if you need to configure its settings.

## Step 5: Remove a skill if you no longer need it

* Use the remove action on the skill card.
* Confirm the removal.
