# Update order, payment, and fulfillment status

> Update the current order status, payment status, and fulfillment status for an order in bitbybit Commerce.

Use this page when you need to update the current state of an order.

## Overview

The current order area separates these status groups:

* **Order status**
* **Payment status**
* **Fulfillment status**

## Before you start

* Open [Orders](https://app.bitbybit.studio/commerce/orders).
* Open the order you want to update.

## Update order status

1. Open the order action menu.
2. Use **Cancel order** if the order should no longer be processed.

## Update payment status

1. Find **Payment status** in the order.
2. Change the status to the value you need.

The current payment status values confirmed in the order area are:

* **Unpaid**
* **Paid**
* **Refunded**

## Update fulfillment status

1. Find **Fulfillment status** in the order.
2. Change the status to the value you need.

The current fulfillment status values confirmed in the order area are:

* **Unfulfilled**
* **Partially fulfilled**
* **Fulfilled**
