# Check automation output after setup

> Check whether an automation is sending messages as expected by using the current automation flow and Livechat as a supporting validation step.

Use this page if you want to check whether an automation is sending messages after setup.

## Overview

This page supports the canonical automation setup pages. It does not replace them.

The current check path is:

1. save the automation
2. trigger the scenario with the event you configured
3. review the result in **Livechat**

## Before you start

* Finish the automation setup first.
* Save the scenario from [Automation](https://app.bitbybit.studio/bitcrm/automation-new).

## Steps

1. Open the automation scenario you want to check.
2. Trigger the event that should start the automation.
3. Open [Livechat](https://app.bitbybit.studio/bitchat/livechat).
4. Review whether the automation message appears in the conversation.
