# Use the prebuilt invoice reminder Automation template

> Launch bitCRM's ready-made Invoice reminder template to send customers their payment link on WhatsApp as soon as they place an order.

Use this page to send customers their payment link on WhatsApp right after they order, without building the automation yourself. The template is optional.

## Overview

The **Invoice reminder** template sends a WhatsApp message with the customer's name and payment link when a new order is created. This helps customers who closed the payment page before paying. They can find the link again in WhatsApp.

The template opens the automation builder with two steps already connected: a **Commerce** trigger (**Order created**) and a **WhatsApp Cloud API** action (**Send a message**). You review each step and save.

## Before you start

* Connect WhatsApp Cloud API in [Integrations](https://app.bitbybit.studio/integrations).
* Connect Xendit or Doku, so your orders have a payment link. See [Set up payment and shipping for your bitLink](/bitlink/how-to-set-up-payment-and-shipping).

## Step 1: Open the template

You can open it in two ways:

* From bitCRM: go to [Automation](https://app.bitbybit.studio/bitcrm/automation-new) and click **Explore templates**. In the **Flow library**, find **Invoice reminder** (search for "invoice") and click it.
* From bitLink: go to **bitLink** > **Payment & Shipping** and click **Set up a reminder**.

The builder opens with the automation name set to **Invoice reminder**.

## Step 2: Check the trigger

* Click the **Commerce** node.
* Check that the trigger is **Order created**. The automation runs each time a new order is created.
* Click **Save**.

## Step 3: Check the message

* Click the **WhatsApp Cloud API** node. The action is **Send a message**.
* The message is already written:

> Hi \{\{customer.name}}, thanks for your order!
>
> We're holding it for you. Please complete your payment here:
> \{\{order.paymentUrl}}
>
> Thank you!

* The two variables fill in by themselves for each order:
  * **Customer name**: the customer's name.
  * **Payment link**: the link to the Xendit or Doku payment page.
* Change the wording if you want. Keep the **Payment link** variable, or the customer won't get the link.

<Warning>
  WhatsApp only delivers a free-text message if the customer messaged you in the last 24 hours. Customers who order from your bitLink often haven't. To make sure the message arrives, choose an approved message template that includes the payment link. See [Choose a message template for WhatsApp Cloud API automation](/bitcrm/how-to-create-a-message-template-for-whatsapp-cloud-api-automation) and the [WhatsApp Business Policy](https://business.whatsapp.com/policy).
</Warning>

## Step 4: Save the automation

* Click **Save** to close the action.
* Click **Save automation** in the top right of the builder.

## Customize the template

* To wait before sending, add a **Time delay** step between the trigger and the message. See [Schedule steps in an automation](/bitcrm/how-to-schedule-steps-in-an-automation).
* To send only for some orders, add a condition. See [Add conditions to an automation](/bitcrm/how-to-add-conditions-to-an-automation).
