# WhatsApp Sandbox

> Connect a regular WhatsApp number to bitbybit with WhatsApp Sandbox by scanning a QR code from Linked Devices

WhatsApp Sandbox connects a regular WhatsApp number to bitbybit so you can try features and see messages in bitChat LiveChat. You connect it by scanning a QR code from Linked Devices on your phone.

  Sandbox is intended for internal testing only. Use [WhatsApp Cloud API](/integrations/whatsapp-cloud-api) or the [WhatsApp Business App](/integrations/whatsapp-business-app) connection for a business number you message customers from.

## Step 1: Access Integrations

Navigate to the [Integrations](https://app.bitbybit.studio/integrations) dashboard.

## Step 2: Connect WhatsApp Sandbox

Scroll to find **WhatsApp Sandbox** and click **"Connect"**. A QR code appears on your screen.

## Step 3: Scan the QR code

1. Open WhatsApp on your phone.
2. Tap **"Menu"** or **"Settings"**, then select **"Linked Devices"**.
3. Scan the QR code shown on your screen.
4. Tap **"Continue"** to complete the process.

## Step 4: Verify the connection

Go to **LiveChat** in bitChat. If your WhatsApp chats appear on the LiveChat dashboard, the connection is successful.
