If your AI agent responds to customers and identifies the right product but never sends a product link, work through this checklist. Each step covers one requirement the agent needs before it can share product URLs.

Step 1: Confirm the Commerce skill is enabled

  • Open AI agent studio and select your agent.
  • Open the Skills tab and confirm the Commerce skill (product recommendation) is added and enabled for this agent.
  • The Commerce skill is what gives the agent access to your product catalog and product links, so a missing or disabled skill is the most common cause to rule out first.
  • See Add and manage skills in AI agent studio for setup steps.

Step 2: Confirm your products are synced

  • Open Products and confirm the products you expect the agent to recommend exist there, with correct URLs.
  • If your catalog comes from Shopify or another source, confirm the sync is connected and current. See Commerce products overview.

Step 3: Check the agent’s schedule on the channel

  • In Chatbot, check the flow that runs your AI agent on the affected channel.
  • The schedule options are Always on (active 24/7), Day-time (inside operational hours), and Off-time (outside operational hours).
  • If the flow is scheduled to Day-time or Off-time, the agent behaves differently outside its window. Set it to Always on if you want consistent behavior around the clock.

Step 4: Test in the playground

  • Use the playground to ask for a product you know is synced.
  • If the agent shares the link in the playground but not in the live channel, the difference is channel configuration (Steps 1 and 3). If it fails in the playground too, the difference is product data (Step 2).
