AI attachments is where you store files your AI agent can send to customers in a chat, such as a menu, price list, or catalog. You upload a file once, then mention it in your AI agent’s instructions to say when to send it.
Files in AI attachments are sent to customers as-is. If you want the AI agent to read a file and answer questions from it, add it to the AI knowledge base instead.

Step 1: Upload a file

  • Go to AI Studio > AI attachments.
  • In Upload file, drag your file into the box or click to choose it.
Supported file types are pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, csv, ppt, pptx, txt, jpeg, and png, up to 10MB each. If you upload a file with the same name as an existing one, the new file gets a number added, for example “menu (2).pdf”. Step 2: Mention the file in your AI agent’s instructions

  • Open your AI agent in AI Studio.
  • In the Instructions field, type @ and choose the file from the Files group.
  • Say when the AI agent should send it. For example: “If the customer asks for the menu, send @menu.pdf”.

Step 3: Test it

  • Open the Playground and ask the question from your instruction.
  • Check that the AI agent sends the right file.

Manage your files

The file list shows each file’s name, size, and upload date. Use Search file to find a file, and the actions to open or delete it.
When you delete a file, your AI agent can no longer send it, and any instruction that mentions it stops working. Update those instructions after you delete a file.
