A location pinpoint stores the exact map coordinates of an address alongside the text you type. Couriers use those coordinates to find the drop-off point, which matters most for addresses that are hard to describe — housing complexes, side alleys, or buildings without a clear street number. You can set a pinpoint on a customer’s saved address or on the shipping address of a single order.

Before you start

  • Open Customers or Orders.
  • You do not need the full address written out first. Set the point on the map and let it fill the address fields for you.

Step 1: Open the address you want to pinpoint

  • Go to CustomersAll customers.
  • Click Add new customer and choose Add individually as the Source, or open an existing customer and click Edit.
  • Scroll to the Customer address section.
Edit shipping address is available only while the order’s address can still be changed. It is hidden once the order is fulfilled or partially fulfilled.

Step 2: Turn on Use location pinpoint

  • Below the address fields, switch on Use location pinpoint.
  • A map opens directly under the toggle.
If the address already has coordinates saved, the toggle is on and the marker is placed when you open the form.

Step 3: Set the point on the map

Set the point in whichever way is quickest:
  • Type in the Search location… box and pick a suggestion.
  • Click the spot on the map.
  • Drag the marker to fine-tune it.
The Address: panel below the map shows the address that matches the point. It reads No location until you set a point, and Fetching address… while the address is still being looked up.
If the map does not appear, it is usually a temporary network problem. Click Retry loading map.

Step 4: Review the address fields

Setting a point fills in the address fields for you: Address, plus Country, Province, City, and Postal code where the map can determine them. For Indonesian addresses, District (Kecamatan) and Subdistrict (Kelurahan) are filled from the matching region list. Read the filled fields back before you save. The map returns the nearest known address, which can be a neighboring building or a broader area than you intended. Correct any field by hand — editing a field does not move the marker, and moving the marker refills the fields. Put building, unit, or landmark details in Address additional info on a customer address, or Apartment, suit, etc on an order address. The pinpoint carries coordinates only.

Step 5: Save the address

  • Click Save changes.
  • The coordinates are saved to the customer’s primary address. The next order you create for this customer reuses the address and its pinpoint.
After you save an order address, the Shipping Address card shows whether the order is Using customer’s primary address or Using order-specific address.

Remove a pinpoint

Switch Use location pinpoint off, then save. The coordinates are cleared and the typed address stays as it is.

Where the pinpoint is used

When you book a courier from the order, the saved coordinates are carried into the shipping form as the delivery point, so you do not have to set it twice. The pickup side has its own pinpoint on each store location. You can add it from your store location settings, or from the shipping form while you book a shipment — a pinpoint you set there is saved back to the store location.
