The Save to Google Sheets action lets a bitCRM automation write WhatsApp form responses and customer events into a Google Sheet. Each time a form is submitted, a new row is appended to the spreadsheet and tab you choose, so your team can run reports, hand work to downstream ops, and keep back-office records in sync without manual copying.

Overview

Save to Google Sheets is an automation action, not a separate channel. You add it to a bitCRM automation that runs against a WhatsApp form, connect a Google account, pick a destination spreadsheet and tab, and map the form fields to columns. After that, every matching submission appends automatically. In this guide you will:
  • Add the Save to Google Sheets action to an automation.
  • Authorize the Google account that owns the destination sheet.
  • Choose the spreadsheet and tab to write to.
  • Map form fields and customer-event fields to columns.
  • Submit a test response and confirm a row appears.

Before you begin

Make sure you have the following ready:
  • A Google account that can edit the destination spreadsheet.
  • A destination Google Sheet, with a tab and header row prepared for the fields you want to capture.
  • A WhatsApp form whose responses you want to save.

Step 1: Add the Save to Google Sheets action

Open the automation tied to your WhatsApp form, then add the action that writes each response to your sheet.
  • Open bitCRM and go to the automation for your WhatsApp form.
  • Add a new action step and select Save to Google Sheets.

Step 2: Authorize your Google account

Connect the Google account that owns the destination spreadsheet so bitbybit can write rows to it.
  • In the action settings, choose Connect Google account.
  • Sign in with the Google account that can edit your destination sheet, then grant the requested access.
  • After it connects, select that account from the list of authorized accounts.

Step 3: Choose the spreadsheet and tab

Tell the action which spreadsheet and which tab inside it to append rows to.
  • Select the destination spreadsheet from the list of files in the connected account.
  • Select the tab (worksheet) within that spreadsheet where rows should be added.

Step 4: Map fields to columns

Match each form field or customer-event field to the column where its value should be written.
  • For each column in the tab, choose the form field or customer-event field that should fill it.
  • Leave any column unmapped if you do not want to write to it.
  • Confirm the mapping reflects the order of your sheet’s header row.
Save the action to apply your settings.

Verify

Confirm the action works end to end before you rely on it.
  • Submit a test response to the WhatsApp form.
  • Open the destination spreadsheet and tab.
  • Confirm a new row appears with the submitted values in the mapped columns.
If no row appears, check that the automation is active, the correct spreadsheet and tab are selected, and the Google account still has edit access to the sheet.
