Use this page when you add a WhatsApp API or Coexistence message step to an automation.

Overview

The current template flow is selection-first. In the step form, you choose a Message template, then map the template variables that the template requires. If you do not have a template yet, the current selector includes Create new template.

Before you start

  • Open an automation scenario in Automation.
  • Add a trigger first.
  • Make sure the WhatsApp channel you want to use is connected.

Steps

  1. Click the + button in the scenario.
  2. Choose Communication channel.
  3. Choose the WhatsApp channel you want to use.
  4. Choose Send a message.
  5. In Message template, select the approved template you want to use.
  6. If the template includes parameters, map each one:
    • Parameter
    • Variable
  7. Save the step.
  8. Click Save automation.

If you need a new template

If the template selector does not contain the template you need, use Create new template from the current Message template field.
